What are chairs and directors accountabilities resulting from legal directives (especially new or recent ones), and how Waterloo deals with such directives.

Orientation for New ChairsIn May 2010 Dean's Council agreed unanimously that all newly appointed academic department chairs and school directors will be required to attend an Orientation Session.
In conjunction with the Office of Organizational and Human Development, two in-depth training sessions are offered to all new Chairs and Directors, to provide them with the tools they need to succeed in their administrative portfolios.
The Orientation Session will be held over two half days. The session is held in two parts. Part one in September - choose between September 6, 1:00 - 4:30 pm or September 8, 9:00 am - 12:30 pm . Part two will be held in December - choose between December 6, 1:00 - 4:30 pm or December 7, 9:00am - 12:30 pm
All session will be held in MC 4068.
